In 1972 over 1.8 million people went to see Tutankhamun’s treasures when the exhibition visited London, it was the most successful exhibition in the capital's history. Now after more than 30 years, this stunning and mysterious exhibit is returning to the UK for a limited period and will be on show in “The 02 Bubble”, a superb new exhibition space at the O2 Arena. Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs is a spellbinding exhibition featuring over 130 Ancient Egyptian treasures. The dazzling objects on display come from Tutankhamun's tomb, other Valley of the Kings burials and additional Egyptian sites.


Since its beginnings in 2001, the Bath Christmas Market has grown in both size and stature and has now established itself as one of the highlights in the city's annual events calendar. Explore the numerous little wooden chalets selling all sorts of goodies from stocking fillers to that something extra special. There's something for everyone with hundreds of cars on display, global premieres and tons of interactive features. It's sure to be the motoring event of the year and this Summer's hottest ticket! The Heritage Enclosure, Supercar Paddock, Drift School, Kids Car Zone, Adventure Land 4x4 experience and on water displays are just some of the treats on offer.


The highly acclaimed stage musical production of the hit film Dirty Dancing exploded on to London's West End stage in October 2006 with all the energy, enthusiasm, exciting dance sequences and characters that made the film a classic. Dirty Dancing is about the sheltered teen Francis 'Baby' Houseman who, while on vacation with her parents, learns about love in the hands of handsome and charismatic dance instructor, Johnny Castle. This dramatic story draws the audience in with its big hits from the movie and of course the dancing which sizzles on stage with choreography to passionate Latin rhythms and rock music.


Shopping in Birmingham is a delight, with a mixture of new and dynamic developments, restored arcades, modern malls and old-fashioned markets it all adds up to a character-filled and pleasurable environment. The fantastic re-developed Bull Ring and ‘Mailbox’ will be sure to tempt you with fashionable boutiques stocked with the latest designer labels, nestled alongside the major names in high street shopping. Chester is regarded as one of the most attractive cities in the United Kingdom with a history dating back to the Romans. The famous Rows, unique two-tiered galleries built in the traditional black and white ‘magpie’ style contain a wide range of shops selling goods from antiques to high fashion. In fact the city is one of the top retail centres in the UK, boasting large branches of national stores and attractive shopping malls. Other attractions include the famous walls which offer a pleasant walk around the city, the Eastgate Clock plus the Amphitheatre, the largest ever uncovered in Britain.


Enjoy a nostalgic day on the Severn Valley Railway where all the stations along the line go back to the time of World War II with vintage period vehicles on display and re-enactments. Windows are taped up, doors sandbagged and visitors also have the opportunity to dress in civilian or military period outfits. Highlights will include a big band show, over 30 military vehicles on show, 1940’s hairdressing demonstrations and archive news films. Don’t forget to listen out for the air raid siren and Spitfire and Lancaster bombers as they fly overhead.
