England

Join us on this five day break and spend a few nights in sumptuous surroundings and savour the delights of tranquil Lincolnshire, a land where gentle landscapes meet meandering rivers and ancient church spires pierce the skyline. From our base in a luxurious four star hotel located near the historic and attractive town of Grantham, we will visit the City of Lincoln, plus Boston and Spalding, then follow in the footsteps of the stars of ‘Pride & Prejudice’ with a visit to Stamford and the magnificent Burghley House.

The ever-popular resort of Southport, renowned for its beautiful coastline, Victorian arcades, championship golf courses, elegant buildings and beautiful gardens. Lord Street is a lovely tree lined boulevard flanked by shops on one side and gardens and fountains on the other, which forms the heart of this unspoiled, traditional seaside resort, the best known resort on the Lancashire coast.

Discover ‘The Kingdom of Northumbria’, England’s northernmost region boasting some of the country’s finest countryside and spectacular coastlines. Lush rolling hills, spectacular forests, glorious sandy beaches, quaint villages and historic market towns mingle with mighty castles and ancient monuments that bear testament to the battles and warring clans of a bygone era. Our base is the charming market town of Alnwick, best known for its medieval castle which has recently become famous for being the location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series of films.

The magnificent City of York, surrounded by its imposing walls and medieval gates this famous city has numerous award winning attractions. Stroll around the delightful old cobbled streets with their half timbered houses, take a cruise on the river, marvel at the Gothic masterpiece of York Minster in whose foundations lie the original layers of York’s history. The museums are excellent and there is a fantastically varied shopping area, you’ll find its no wonder that York has been labelled England’s finest historic city.

November departure includes the St Nicholas Fayre

Ever popular Scarborough, Yorkshire’s premier seaside resort overlooking two sweeping bays, a busy fishing harbour and the old town, separated by the magnificent castle headland. South Bay is the oldest resort area with shops, cafes and Victorian lifts to take you down to the beach and promenade.
