Europe

A superb thirteen-day touring holiday exploring The Magic of Andalucia with visits to Madrid, Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Toledo and Burgos. A land rich in natural and architectural beauty that combines the old world with modern Mediterranean sophistication. Beautiful countryside reveals delightful towns and pretty whitewashed villages and the superb cultural cities are full of history and art with elaborate architecture.

Enjoy a mini-cruise to Spain on board Brittany Ferries magnificent £100 million flagship the ‘PONT- AVEN’, which entered service in Spring 2004 on the Plymouth to Santander route.

Décor throughout the Pont-Aven reflects the style made famous by the distinguished French school of art bearing the same name. Complementing this, the superb on-board facilities include a choice of elegant restaurants and lounges, two cinemas, live music and dancing, stylish shopping malls, plus a magnificent pool and leisure area. Cabins are all air-conditioned and have full en suite facilities.

French Alpine scenery at its best, snow capped mountain peaks, serene lakes, rivers and gorges all perfecting a truly stunning landscape. Lake Annecy is considered to be the purest in Europe and its position, surrounded by the mountains of the Haute Savoie, is certainly one of the most beautiful. Annecy is also known as ‘Little Venice’ because of its many canals, a delightful town who’s charm comes not only from its lake, but also from the parks & gardens, promenades, bridges bedecked with flowers, and the fascinating old town with its medieval houses and delightful chateau.

The Austrian Tyrol is one of the most popular scenic areas in Europe and our chosen holiday resort of St Anton lies in a lovely picturesque setting deep in the heart of Austria's scenic Arlberg region. Set against a beautiful backdrop of mountain peaks and woodland slopes the resort is well known as the host of the Alpine World Skiing Championships in 2001 and as one of Austria’s most famous international winter and summer resorts.

A magnificent touring holiday that combines the legendary stunning scenery of Switzerland’s lakes and mountains together with a journey on one of the most beautiful railway lines in the world. The Bernina Express is the highest train route in the Alps, climbing to an altitude of 7400ft, amazingly without the help of cogwheels. Take your seats and enjoy the spectacular scenery as you ride past glaciers and rushing mountain streams, through galleries hewn into the sheer rock, through switch-back tunnels and over graceful viaducts including the famous circular viaduct at Brusio. We spend two nights in the Swiss mountain resort of Davos, followed by four nights on the shores of Lake Lugano, one of the most impressive lakeside resorts in Europe.
