Ireland

A county with an ancient and colourful heritage, boasting a delightful scenic mix of mountains, valleys, flora, fauna, stunning beaches, scenic villages and pretty harbours dotted around the coast. Our base for exploring this delightful region is the cosmopolitan county town of Wexford. Founded by the Vikings and developed by the Normans, it retains something of its earlier character with lots of interesting narrow streets and a long attractive quayside.

Situated in picturesque south-west Ireland, the beauty of the landscape, the majestic mountains and mystical lakes all combine to make Killarney one of the Emerald Isle’s principal tourist destinations. The town is also home to world renowned Muckross House & Gardens, those famous horse-drawn ‘jaunting cars’ and the Museum of Irish Transport. Explore the beautiful surrounding areas on our included excursions to the beautiful Ring of Kerry and the enchanting Dingle Peninsula.

Known as the ‘City of Tribes’, Galway is one of Ireland’s oldest cities, steeped in culture and heritage and renowned for its relaxed social life. It is also the gateway to Connemara, a wild and dramatic region to the west of the city that encompasses bogs, mountains and a rugged coastline, regarded as the real emerald of Ireland. Contrasting landscapes present a range of natural wonders in this remote area, which is largely unspoilt and retains its true Irish culture.

Cork is the largest of the Irish counties located in the south-western corner of Ireland. Rich farmlands and river valleys contrast with wild sandstone hills and magnificent coastlines, shaped by the Atlantic into picturesque bays, rocky headlands and golden sands.

Picturesque West County Cork, an area of the glorious Emerald Isle that offers so much variety, renowned for its rugged mountain scenery, craggy coastlines, stunning beaches, mystical lakes and colourful villages. Join us and spend four nights in a brand new hotel in Bantry, a busy little market town and fishing port in a wonderful setting overlooking Bantry Bay.
