Wales

One of the most attractive resorts in Wales with lovely beaches and a picturesque harbour, plus the historic old town within its original fortifications. Just off shore lies the monastic Caldey Island which can be reached on a pleasant boat trip from the harbour. Tenby’s location on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park also makes it an excellent base for touring the area.

Cardiff is without doubt one of Europe’s most dynamic and fastest-growing capitals, a city that combines history, culture, entertainment and some of Britain’s finest examples of urban regeneration and innovation with a compact city centre and plenty of attractions to suit all ages and interests. Amongst the most popular sights are the city’s superb castle, Llandaff cathedral, the iconic Millennium Stadium and the National Museum and Gallery with its outstanding collection of impressionist art.

This vibrant, cosmopolitan capital has undergone enormous regeneration over the past decade or so. Its traditional attractions such as the fairy-tale castle and the world-renowned Museum of Welsh Life are now complemented by a stunning waterfront development in Cardiff Bay and world-class venues such as the Wales Millennium Centre and the iconic Millennium Stadium, the biggest under-cover stadium in Europe. Alongside the high street shops and big department stores there is a selection of lovely Victorian arcades containing designer boutiques and unique shops.

Llandrindod Wells is often described as one of Britain's hidden treasures, situated seven hundred feet above sea level and surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales. In the 19th century the Victorians developed the town into one of the most fashionable health resorts in Britain and today you can still visit the Pump Room where it was once possible to take the mineral waters. Today the town still retains a unique relaxing atmosphere with nice lakeside walks and pretty landscaped gardens where you can sit and watch the world go by.
