ITINERARY
- Day One: Pick up from your home (designated area) and transfer to Manchester Airport for our outward flight to Los Angeles and three nights at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel
- Day Two: A day at leisure in Los Angeles, later join your fellow travellers for dinner. (D)
- Day Three: This morning you depart on a city tour of Los Angeles, the “City of Angels.” On this tour you will see many of Hollywood's famous landmarks, including Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Walk of Fame and the famous "Hollywood" sign. The remainder of the day at leisure
- Day Four: Today we travel east through California's countryside to the state of Arizona and the picturesque city of Scottsdale. We spend the next two nights at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort Hotel. (D)
- Day Five: A morning guided tour that will include downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain, Paradise Valley, Old Town Scottsdale and more, plus a Native American jewellery and handicrafts making demonstration. The remainder of the day is at leisure to check out Old Town Scottsdale or just relax and enjoy the amenities at your hotel. (B)
- Day Six: We begin the day with a visit to the beautiful city of Sedona, then you will be amazed with Oak Creek Canyon, where the rock formations seem to change hue with every turn in the road. Later as you travel through the spectacular Kaibab National Forest, you will reach the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and the Grand Canyon Lodges where we stay overnight. Tonight join your fellow travellers for dinner and entertainment. (B,D)
- Day Seven: Enjoy amazing views of the canyon with a drive along the South Rim. Later leave nature’s beauty behind for the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas strip. Probably the most famous stretch of road in the world, its 4 miles of neon-lit resorts with around-the-clock action is like nowhere else on earth. A two-night stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino provides an opportunity to enjoy the shows, the casinos and all the fun. (B, D)
- Day Eight: Enjoy a day of leisure, lounge by the pool sipping cool drinks, experience a show, or try your luck in the casino. Perhaps explore the themed hotels and their wonders inside such as Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef aquarium or stop by the Luxor to see the sphinxes and pyramid. New York-New York brings the “Big Apple” to life right on the Vegas strip. See the Eiffel Tower, the Mirage volcano, or watch pirates battle at Treasure Island.
- Day Nine: We leave Nevada behind and travel back into the state of California. Travelling to the interior of the state, you arrive in the San Joaquin Valley area and the city of Fresno. Known as California's "New Frontier", Fresno is a fast-growing metropolis within a region renowned for its agricultural setting and its cultural diversity which is displayed in a wide variety of museums, restaurants and festivals. Overnight at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel. (D)
- Day Ten: Today will surely be a highlight as you visit one of Mother Nature's greatest masterpieces, Yosemite National Park where amazing waterfalls, unique rock formations, deep valleys, Alpine meadows and groves of giant sequoias will leave you awe-struck. Later, travel through the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains en route to the "City by the Bay", San Francisco. Two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel (B)
- Day Eleven: Enjoy a captivating city tour featuring the popular landmarks of this dynamic city. Highlights include the Twin Peaks, Seal Rocks, the Golden Gate Bridge and Chinatown. On completion of the tour the remainder of your day is at leisure to explore Fisherman’s Wharf, shop in Union Square, or ride the famed cable cars up and down San Francisco’s thrilling hills. (D)
- Day Twelve: Enjoy the day at leisure in San Francisco.
- Day Thirteen: Our tour ends today as we transfer to the airport and board our return flight.
- Day Fourteen: Arrive Manchester and transfer back to your home.
