The birthplace of world famous William Shakespeare set in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside on the banks of the River Avon. This lovely old town with its timber-framed buildings is steeped in culture and history and offers a wealth of things to see and do. The town centre has a nice shopping area where modern stores and old timbered buildings mingle together.
ITINERARY
- Day One: Travel south to Stratford Upon Avon, afternoon at leisure to commence exploring the town.
- Day Two: A full day to the enchanting Cotswolds and its lovely honey-stoned villages. We visit Broadway with its numerous antique shops, plus picturesque Bourton on the Water, also known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’.
- Day Three: A full day at leisure to explore Stratford Upon Avon, maybe take a cruise on the river.
- Day Four: We travel into Shropshire for a visit to Shrewsbury, one of England's finest medieval market towns. Depart mid-afternoon and return home to North Wales.
