Steeped in history and natural scenic beauty, the Leeds Liverpool Canal is a truly fascinating waterway. What better way to discover it than onboard a beautiful traditional canal boat departing from Skipton, one of the oldest and most stunning market towns in the country. During your trip you will experience cruising on Yorkshire’s most attractive waterway, passing by charming buildings and spectacular scenery. We will also visit the attractive spa town of Harrogate famous for its floral displays, tea shops, Turkish baths and antique shops. A truly relaxing weekend spent in the Yorkshire Dales.

ITINERARY

• Day One: We travel north into the Yorkshire Dales and the market town of Skipton where we join our canal boat for a cruise, watching the world go by at four miles per hour. We then travel to Bradford and our hotel, the four star Hilton. Dinner in the hotel is included.
• Day Two: Following a leisurely breakfast we depart the hotel and travel to Harrogate located at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. The elegant spa town of Harrogate is perfect for relaxation. Spend some time exploring before browsing the many boutiques and antique shops, then maybe finish off your afternoon with a cream tea in Betty’s – a Yorkshire institution! We travel home to North Wales mid afternoon.
