Founded by William the Conqueror and home to the Royal Family for 900 years, Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest occupied Castle in the world. Generations of Kings and Queens have conducted their business here and enjoyed its wonderful grounds. London is without doubt one of the world’s greatest cities with numerous renowned attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben & The Houses of Parliament, St Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge.
ITINERARY
- Day One: Travel south to the Thames Valley for a visit to picturesque Marlow, a pleasant Georgian town, situated on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. Continue on the Holiday Inn for a Bucks Fizz welcome drink.
- Day Two: We drive into the city of London for a tour of the famous sights, followed by free time for sightseeing or shopping, perhaps take a cruise on the Thames or a ride on the London Eye for a birds eye view of the Capital. Following dinner this evening some music for dancing at the hotel.
- Day Three: We check out and drive to nearby Royal Windsor, an opportunity to explore Windsor itself, plus the famous Castle. See the State Apartments and the Drawings Gallery, plus the Queen Mary's Dolls' House and St. George's Chapel, the burial place of sovereigns and setting for many royal weddings. Depart late afternoon for our homeward journey.
