Join us on this five day break and spend a few nights in sumptuous surroundings and savour the delights of tranquil Lincolnshire, a land where gentle landscapes meet meandering rivers and ancient church spires pierce the skyline. From our base in a luxurious four star hotel located near the historic and attractive town of Grantham, we will visit the City of Lincoln, plus Boston and Spalding, then follow in the footsteps of the stars of ‘Pride & Prejudice’ with a visit to Stamford and the magnificent Burghley House.

- A visit to Lincoln, a city steeped in history with a castle built by William the Conqueror and the magnificent cathedral with its triple towers stretching towards the sky. Enjoy the mixtures of past and present from the modern art around the city to the antiques and old cobbled streets. Explore the newly developed waterfront and maybe take a sightseeing river cruise.
- We take a drive through the Lincolnshire countryside to visit Boston, the home of the “Boston Stump”, the tower of the largest parish church in England, plus the historic Guildhall which dates back to 1450. Continue through the Fens to Spalding, home of the famous Flower Parade, then finally some time in Grantham.
- A Pride & Prejudice day, follow in the footsteps of the stars of this epic film with a visit to Stamford, one of the finest Georgian stone towns in England, used as the village of Meryton, where the film's heroine Elizabeth Bennet lived. On then to the magnificent Burghley House and Gardens, the home of the Cecil family for more than 400 years. In the movie Burghley was used for the exterior and interior of Rosings, the imposing home of Lady Catherine de Bourg.
