One of Italy’s most thriving and popular coastal resorts, graced with miles of beautiful sandy beaches. The town has lovely tree-lined avenues, interspersed with colourful piazzas and there are a multitude of tempting shops, bars, cafes, pizzerias and restaurants. The magical city of Venice remains as serene and unique as ever. St. Marks and its world-famous square, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal with its gondolas and water taxis. Enjoy included excursions to see Italian gems such as Padova, Verona and Lake Garda and the magnificent Dolomites.

ITINERARY

• Day One: Depart in the early hours and travel south to Dover for a morning sailing to Calais, continue on via the French autoroutes to our overnight hotel in the Mulhouse area.
• Day Two: This morning our journey continues through the Swiss Alps and into Italy, then on to the resort of Lido di Jesolo and the Principe Palace Hotel where we stay for the next seven nights.
• Days Three to Eight: At leisure in Jesolo with the following included excursions:
• Full day to the unique City of Venice travelling by waterbus to St. Marks Square. From here you can explore the many attractions of this unique and fascinating city and maybe take a ride on one of the famous Gondolas. (Waterbus fare payable locally)
• Full day commencing with a visit to Verona, an opportunity to visit Juliet's balcony as immortalised in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Verona’s major attraction is the imposing Arena di Verona, made from local stone the amphitheatre is still used today during the opera season. Continue on to beautiful Lake Garda where we visit Sirmione, one of the most picturesque resorts on the lake with its moated medieval castle and lovely piazzas.
• Full day excursion into the Dolomites, travelling through some of Europe's most dramatic mountain scenery to visit the chic resort of Cortina. Admire the stunning colours and needle-like peaks of this world-renowned mountain range.
• A short day visit to Padova, Italy's second oldest university city. An opportunity to explore the attractions of this lovely medieval city including Scrovegni Chapel, the Botanical Gardens and the beautiful Basilica di Sant'Antonio.
• Day Nine: We travel back through Switzerland and into France for another overnight stay in the Mulhouse area.
• Day Ten: Continue north to Calais for our return ferry crossing to Dover and on home to North Wales.
