Explore the delights of the North East from our luxury hotel base at Seaburn, on the outskirts of Sunderland. See the magnificent historic city of Durham with its numerous attractions including the stunning Norman castle and Cathedral, a listed World Heritage Site that has dominated the skyline for nine centuries.

  • Full day to the city of Durham with time to explore the castle and cathedral, plus other attractions that include museums and galleries, medieval buildings, quaint cobbled streets and ancient bridges of the old town. (Optional visit to Beamish Open Air Museum).
  • Full day via the spectacular Northumbrian Coast to Bamburgh with its majestic castle overlooking the sea. From here (tides permitting) we cross over the narrow causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, famous for its medieval religious heritage. Continue to the historic market town of Alnwick, an opportunity to visit the lovely Castle Gardens
