Chester is regarded as one of the most attractive cities in the United Kingdom with a history dating back to the Romans. The famous Rows, unique two-tiered galleries built in the traditional black and white ‘magpie’ style contain a wide range of shops selling goods from antiques to high fashion. In fact the city is one of the top retail centres in the UK, boasting large branches of national stores and attractive shopping malls.
ITINERARY
- Day One: Travel to Chester for check-in to the Crowne Plaza Hotel where we commence our Christmas holiday. Some free time in the afternoon, then meet the management team before our evening dinner, followed by entertainment.
- Day Two: Christmas Eve - This morning enjoy a Treasure Hunt Walking Tour of Chester, or join us for a morning drive to Nantwich with an optional visit to the Stapeley Water Gardens. Lunch at the hotel and afternoon quiz, evening candlelit dinner with further entertainment.
- Day Three: Christmas Day - A morning at leisure before the traditional Christmas Lunch and a visit from Father Christmas. Watch the Queens Speech in the afternoon, then a buffet dinner followed by entertainment.
- Day Four: Boxing Day - An excursion to the popular seaside resort of Southport with its long promenade, tree lined boulevard and lovely gardens. (For any guests not wishing to join the excursion lunch will be available at the hotel). Tonight enjoy a farewell Gala Dinner served in the Kings Suite, then its time to let your hair down and join in the final night of fun, games and entertainment.
- Day Five: A further morning at leisure to maybe check out the sales in the stores before we make the short journey home to North Wales.
